Project OBVSNSS centers around the notion of surfaces, obviousness, and the question of “What is beyond?”. Referencing fashion, technology aesthetics and flat design, the project reinterprets notions of touch, speech and spectatorship in relation to plastic and bodily surfaces and automated textual/linguistic interaction. Surfaces taking us “elsewhere”, through time and space, yet staying just surfaces in their sensual and designed physicality. To see means to percept visual information through a surface. Seeing and communicating, became intuitive and mute. The sensuality of (bodily and verbal) interaction is in the abstracted experience.
